The Montafon lies in the south of Vorarlberg and is surrounded by three mighty mountain ranges: In the Northwest the striking limestone rocks of the Rätikon, in the South the Silvretta group, partly covered by glaciers with crystalline central alpine rocks, and in the Northeast the Verwall. The individual peaks have melodious names such as Schesaplana, Zimba, Drei Türme (three towers), Sulzfluh, Madrisa, Litzer and Piz Buin – which is the highest mountain in Vorarlberg.

MONTAFON/Vorarlberg – sporty, active, informal…

A total of 500 km of hiking paths with 200 guided tours are on offer in summer (free of charge with the Montafon guest card). The guides inform you about the history of the inhabitants, about mining or the use of water power. Families are also catered for with e.g Golmi’s research trail, smugglersland, forest school, high rope courses, children’s entertainment and much more.
