The Gerlos group of the Zillertal Alps extends along the Gerlostal valley from west to east between the jagged Reichenspitzkamm and the green mountainsides of the Kitzbühl Alps, joining Gerlos and Zell am Ziller in the middle of the beautiful valley of Zillertal. The river Ziller gurgles along its wide bed through green meadows and round hills with flowering pastures above dark evergreens.
