Alpenregion Nationalpark Gesäuse
Johnsbach im Gesäuse – Symphony of rock & water
The mountaineering village of Johnsbach in the alpine region of the Gesäuse National Park lies in a secluded side valley of the Styrian Ennstal valley. Embedded in this impressive 16 km long gorge, which is characterised by mighty rock faces, cragged peaks and the roaring Enns river, is the gentle Johnsbachtal valley and the village of the same name. Here, everybody – be they a leisurely family hiker, mountaineer or climber – will discover something. Within a radius of a few kilometres there are further interesting excursion destinations such as the visitors’ facilities of the Gesäuse National Park, Admont Monastery or the St. Gallen Water Fun Park.
